2 More Blog Tips

January 19, 2008 by homeinput

Another tip is to make sure you include pictures in your blog. People are more inclined to read things with pictures. I know it sounds too simple, but it’s true. There are many web sites that have free clip-art for you to use. The best pictures are pictures you have taken. At the least, post one picture peridea blog post.

After you begin your blog, it is very important to stick with it. Potential clients will not flood your blog after two or three posts. It will take time so keep with it. As long as your posts are interesting and useful, people will read your blog and keep coming back.

Consistency Is Key When Blogging

When posting on your real estate blog, be consistent. Make sure you provide consistent blog posts. No matter if it is once aConsistency week or once a day, just be consistent. Many blog readers find it frustrating when they don’t know when the blog author is going to post again. By staying consistent you increase the chance that readers will come back to read your new blog post. If you post consistently once a week on a Monday let’s say, then readers will train themselves to check back every Monday.

Show That You’re Human And Give Back

January 7, 2008 by homeinput

People want to hear about you. We all like to do business with other humans. Show your personal side. Blog about your hobbies, your vacation, your experiences. This shows potential clients that you are like them. This increases the chance that they will want to have you represent them for their real estate needs.

A great way to increase your blog’s exposure is to give back. Read other people’s blogs. Make comments on their blogs to show you are reading them and that you find them interesting. Usually, when you leave a comment on someone else’s blog, they allow you to put your blog’s link in the comment. Other folks will then read your comment and see your blog’s link and follow it. Now you have not only contributed to someone else’s blog, you have brought an audience to your own blog. Win-Win!
